Dearest Strangers, | 2022

During the winter, spring, summer and fall of 2021, Lydia Hannah quietly created a new work intended for the +6,300 healthcare employees of ZNA, the largest hospital network in Antwerp. Lydia Hannah filmed the trees around her home 4 times a day for 4 seasons. She then invited Innerwoud to improvise on the images and composed a beautiful soundtrack organically in sync with the delicate elegance of the film’s visual rhythm. The layered work was first shown in spring 2022 as an intimate immersive video installation in a former emergency room of hospital ZNA Sint-Elisabeth, as well as broadcast on the hospital TV channel in the patients’ rooms.
